Synopsis:

     I saw the news and followed the stories about what happened in Ohio. John Smith's out there on the run. To the world, he is a mystery, but to me ... he's one of us.
     When we were nine, and sometimes I wonder if time has not made us change - if we still believe in our mission. How do I know? Now, we are only six. We live in hiding, trying to blend in to you, and do not know one another. Meanwhile, our Legacies are developing. Soon we will be ready to fight.
     Does the fact that John, Number Four, have appeared is the sign I was waiting? What about the numbers Five and Six? Some of them could be the girl of black hair and gray eyes I have seen in my dreams? The girl with powers that are beyond anything I ever imagined? One that perhaps has the strength to meet the six?

Number One was captured in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
With Number Four in Ohio, they failed.
I am Number Seven. One of six still surviving.
